The River Thames is 215 miles (346km) long from source to estuary, over 200 bridges span the river, including Tower Bridge.
The Tower of London was founded in 1066. The White Tower measuring 36 x 32 metres (118 by 105 ft) at the base, 27 m (90 ft) high, was built by William the Conqueror in 1078.
Tower Bridge is 800 feet (240 m) in length and consists of two 213-foot (65 m) bridge towers.
The London Eye is a cantilevered observation wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames. Standing 135 metres (443 ft) tall, the wheel has a diameter of 120 metres (394 ft).
The Shard is a 72-storey skyscraper standing 309.6 metres (1,016 feet) high and is the tallest building in the United Kingdom.
