About Dominion Photography

Hello!  I'm Dan, I'm a photographer and I'm based in the High Peak borough of Derbyshire, UK.

I've been interested in the arts / photography from around the age of 14, later attending photography courses at Erith Technical College, Kent and saving-up for my first film camera made by Zenit!

From 1990, my career path actually led to twenty-one years operating in the entertainment industry, the later fifteen years professionally.

In late 2011, I decided to take a completely new work direction.

It took nearly three years before my desire to work again in the arts were inspired by Writer / Producer Vaun Wilmott through his extraordinary series "Dominion".

Through watching Dominion's impressive storytelling and visual FX to contributing fan-art via social media and engaging with fans, I realised I wanted to be creative again.  This eventually led to picking up the camera (again).

Five years later ambition, passion and diligence have finally led me towards operating as a full-time photographer.

In 2021 my stepdaughter will be contributing photography.

From documenting life's beauty, the simple and ordinary moments to visually connecting events, my photography disciplines overlap and include black & white, landscape, long-exposure and creative photography.
I'm also into composite editing and photo-restoration (digitally removing photo damage, scratches, dents, etc).

My main camera is a Canon EOS 5D Mark III
